Global Hospitality Aid was established by Phoonseeraah (Ada) Tieanworn to address the issues of the hotel industry’s hundreds of tons of unusable defective linens and food waste, while refugees and war victims in crisis zones lack access to necessities. The project’s scope enlarged to provide job training and income to former sex workers, domestic abuse victims, and the elderly.

The initiative bridges these environmental and social problems by repurposing discarded hotel linens and used coffee grounds originally destined for landfills into products like soap, clothing, and blankets.  Sustainable processes were developed to create our products. People are trained and paid to make these items to help them leap out of poverty. Our work is funded by donations and supported by volunteers.

To date, 3,000 clothing articles and 1,000 food packets were delivered to refugees and natural disaster victims.  Next year, we are targeting 10,000 clothing articles and 3,000 food packets.
